Its Dueling Time!

Hi Friends!

Its our March duel! I was the hostess for the Dazzlers this month, and our topic/challenge was St. Patrick's Day. So I went totally green bonkers with the card kit that I sent out. The hard part was getting an image. I sent out a couple of links to free digital images that could have been used, or they were to use one they already had. In the kit I included three different patterned papers, a computer generated copy of an Irish Blessing, die cut shamrock, ribbon, cording, brads, and button candy dots. Another part of the challenge was to describe any traditions your family has to celebrate St. Patrick's Day.

My card:

front

inside...with computer generated Irish Blessing

front...again.
Items used
Image: Free digital image from Elizabeth O. Dulemba.  http://www.dulemba.com/
Patterned Paper: Basic Grey, Origins, sugar pea
Ribbon: American Crafts
Embellishments: Button candy dots by Pebbles, copper brad by American Crafts, die cut shamrock.

When celebrating St. Patrick's Day, we usually will have some sort of food, usually potato soup, bread, and sometimes we will make shamrock cut outs for dessert.

  1. Michelle, your kit was so much fun to use... and now that I've seen your adorable card, I see all the wonderful things that could be done with that kit. WOW! You really did an outstanding job. I love everything about your card. So many fun layers and elements to look at. And look at that bow! I even have a bow easy, but still can't tie a descent looking bow, so I am truly envious.

Your St. Patrick's food sounds good. Enjoy!

  8. Look at this sweet, huggable little Irish Bear! I just loved him, but, alas, have no printer at home here at the moment. But I adored the Irish Blessing that you included in the kit, thank you! I like how you made it the focal point inside and accented it with the gorgeous shamrock! Thank you so much for such a fun kit. (Did you know that this is my first-ever St. Patty's Day card?) LOL
