Memorial Day...A Day to Remember
Its a Calendar Girl....May Challenge
Here is the Challenge for the Month of May…………. Memorial Day--a day of honor, remembrance, family picnics, parades, flags placed at cemeteries, concerts and the unofficial start to summer! So the challenge this month for the Calendar Girls is to ink up a patriotic stamp, get out the red/white/blue paper and DSP to post a card that shouts respect to your country and those who have served in the past. I would also like you to note in your post on the 28th what is in your plans this year or what typically has been part of your celebration in the past years on Memorial Day. This year we have no plans, but in the past this weekend was usually spent at a family cabin. Growing up, I was in Girl Scouts, and would spent the mornings participating in the ceremonies at various cemeteries.
I chose a clean and simple layout, using a retired SU stamp, SU cardstock (real red and night of navy)
ribbon, hand crocheted flower with button. Swirls embossing folder, and Cuttlebug.
